We work for the buyer.
Not the factory.
HausPipes is an independent pipe sourcing agent based in Jiangsu, China. We help small and mid-size buyers — contractors, distributors, and project owners — source HDPE pipe, PVC pipe, steel pipe, and steel wire composite pipe directly from verified Chinese factories. No inventory, no factory relationships to protect, no reason to recommend a factory we wouldn't buy from ourselves.
I spent nine years as a software engineer. Not in pipe manufacturing — in software. Debugging systems, reading specs, building things that either work or don't. That mindset doesn't leave you when you change industries.
Two years ago, through factory connections in Jiangsu, I started spending time on production floors. What I saw was consistent: overseas buyers paying 20–40% more than necessary, receiving PE80 when they'd ordered PE100, getting ghosted after deposit. Not always from bad faith — often just from the structural gap between a factory that communicates in Mandarin and a buyer who can't verify what they're actually getting.
HausPipes is the fix I could actually build. I'm based 30 minutes from the major Jiangsu pipe clusters. Factory visits are a day trip, not a flight. I know the production managers, I've walked the extrusion lines, and I've seen which plants cut corners when order volumes get large. That's not something you get from a sourcing platform.
The commission is 5% of FOB factory price, stated separately, visible to you. You see the factory quote. That's the structure because it's the only one that works long-term — if I'm hiding a margin on the factory side, the incentive to find you the best factory disappears.
How this works in practice
What we don't do
Some of these are industry-standard practices we've chosen to skip.
