PE100 Resin Sourcing from China

Document verification tells you what the supplier claims. Lab testing tells you what the resin actually is. We do both:

• MRS rating — PE100 requires MRS 10.0 MPa at 20°C over 50 years per ISO 12162. We check the test report and verify the accreditation of the issuing lab.
• PE100+ Association — For PE100 and PE100-RC, we cross-reference against the PE100+ Association registry. This is the most reliable third-party verification available for pipe-grade HDPE.
• Batch COA — Incoming batch COA checked for MFI, density, and resin supplier name. Batch numbers must match what was delivered to the factory floor.
• Third-party lab testing — For large orders or PE100-RC applications, we coordinate MFI, density, and OIT testing through accredited Chinese labs. Results delivered before shipment.

The most common fraud in Chinese resin supply is not on the trial order — it is on the production batch six months later when the relationship is established and scrutiny drops.

A supplier ships PE100-certified material for your trial. The next three containers are a PE80 blend. Your pipe extrusion line produces dimensionally correct pipe. The pressure rating is wrong. The difference only becomes apparent when pipes fail in the field.

The fix is a well-structured trial order that creates a documented baseline — batch COA, lab test results, packaging photos — so that subsequent batches can be compared and substitution detected. We build this into every first engagement.
